A MESSAGE FROM OUR OWNER

 As a cleaning company we believe we have a special responsibility to remain at the cutting edge of the fight against COVID here in Atlanta. Squeaky Green is committed to staying vigilant by monitoring the most up-to-date safety, infection control, and cleaning protocols recommended by the CDC. Although the situation is fluid, one thing is clear: all of the experts are recommending increased personal and home hygiene as we all face the shared impact of COVID. Luckily cleaning is our specialty! Our goal at this time is to stay informed, adapt as needed, and be completely transparent about our efforts to accommodate the growing need for sanitation while ensuring the health of our clients and employees.

OUR RESPONSE TIMELINE

March 10th

  • All cleaners received a COVID cleaning pack including extra soap, alcohol, bleach, gloves, a cotton mask.

March 23rd - May 10th

  • The cleaning side of our business was 100% shuttered.

  • We shipped hundreds of bottles of disinfectant and hand sanitizer all around the country.

  • We made over a thousand masks for our community and donated many masks to healthcare workers.

  • We worked on creating new products, improving our current products, and creating new programs and services to add value to our company!

May 10th

  • We announced a soft reopening of the cleaning side of our business and began to take appointments for move-in/move-out cleanings or other cleanings of empty homes or businesses.

May 20th

OUR CLEANING PRECAUTIONS MOVING FORWARD:

  • All of our appointments will be no-contact until further notice. If you cannot leave the property please remain in your outdoor space (like your lovely porch, patio, or yard) or in a closed room.

  • We have provided cleaners with sterile gloves for cleaning that will be changed several times as our cleaners work. 

  • We have provided cleaners with cotton mask. We also have a limited supply of medical masks that we can use upon request but would like to reserve for families with high risk members.

  • We will be using plenty of disinfectants. We already use alcohol in several of our products and have formulated a disinfecting spray based on the experts suggestions for killing COVID-19. Going forward we will be spraying all door knobs, light switches, faucets, the handle to the refrigerator, toilet flusher, etc. We will be hitting all high traffic areas and encourage you to let us know if there is anything special you would like disinfected. This will be a no-wipe spray as experts are suggesting anywhere from 30 seconds to 10 minutes of exposure to 60% (or more) alcohol. We want to be safe so we are using 70% and we will be allowing it to sit and dry naturally. We will continue to follow CDC recommendations as more information flows in about best practices and best products.

  • We have plenty of bleach (which we generally would never use) and we will be washing all rags daily with bleach and disinfecting cleaning tools between homes. If you would like to supply your own cleaning tools and rags at this time we are happy to accommodate that as well!

  • We have made it very clear to all employees that they are to call in sick if they believe they have been exposed to COVID-19 or feel sick in any way. Our employees are all being covered by Georgias partial unemployment plan so they are being taken care of weather sick or not!

  • We will be suspending cancellation fees. Please do what you believe is best for your family, no questions asked! 

  • We have our own hand sanitizer (with CDC recommended levels of Isopropyl Alcohol) which cleaners will be using. If you would like to purchase some for yourself please feel free to order online or request some be brought to your cleaning.

  • We have our own soap which cleaners will be using. We know the person most likely to give you COVID-19 is YOU! Washing your hands and refraining from touching your face are both incredibly important. We will be washing and refraining and we encourage you to do the same! 

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  1. Let us take your temperature on your feelings about future cleaning and our response to COVID! Please take 1 minute to take this 3 question survey!

  2. One thing that seems very clear is that older folks and folks with certain pre-existing conditions are more at risk of becoming critically ill from COVID The CDC list of folks who are at higher risk can be found here. If you have a cleaning booked please let Squeaky Green know if someone in your household is in this "higher risk" group so we can take extra precautions and discuss a plan of action!
